Getting to Know Chris:

1. Q: How do you like to spend your free time away from the wonderful world of direct response?
A: I love a variety of activities! Some of my favorites include traveling, exploring the city, catching live shows, improv, cooking, rooting for my teams, and finding the lushest spots to hang with the dog. I’m always drawn to a mix of creativity, curiosity, and adventure — pretty much how I try to approach life in general.

2. Q: What's the most unexpected lesson you've learned in your career so far?
A: Mistakes aren’t always a bad thing — some of the most meaningful growth I’ve had has come from things not going as planned. The key is using those moments to figure out what went wrong, take accountability, and put something in place to prevent it from happening again. When that happens, the mistake becomes a turning point for lasting improvement.

3. Q: If you could give your younger, just-starting-out self one piece of advice about your career path, what would it be?
A: Don’t dive straight into building something just because you can. Slow down and make sure you’re solving the right problem. You’ll save time, build more useful things, and make a bigger impact by asking better questions up front!

4. Q: What's one skill you're actively trying to develop or improve in your professional life right now?
A: Prioritization — especially when it comes to balancing day-to-day data needs with longer-term projects. I’m working on getting better at identifying which tasks will drive the most value, and making sure I protect time to work on foundational improvements, not just immediate requests.

5. Q: If you weren't in the wonderful world of direct response, what industry do you think you might be interested in exploring?
A: I’ve always been drawn to media, entertainment, or something creative-adjacent — maybe writing or producing. Anything where I could mix analysis and storytelling would probably hook me.

6. Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A: Teleportation

7. Q: What was your dream job as a child?
A: I was for sure going to be a major league baseball player. And also a paleontologist.

8. Q: What's one totally irrational fear you have?
A: Sharks in deep pools

2. Q: What's your go-to karaoke song (even if you only sing it in the shower)?
A: Total Eclipse of the Heart – Bonnie Tyler. “Turnnnarounddd….”

3. Q: If you could go on any game show or reality competition show, what would it be?
A: Price is Right!!

2. Q: If you were a brand, what would your slogan be?
A: Making sense of the mess (mostly)

3. Q: Fill in the blank: The quickest way to my heart is _____________.
A: Bagpipes
